Accounting Manager

Chester County, PA | Manufacturing Company

The company has experienced significant growth and is investing heavily in its Exton, PA manufacturing operation
, including additional capacity to support continued expansion and acquisitions.

This is an opportunity to join a small corporate accounting team during a period of increased sophistication and growth. The new CFO is building out the organization and looking for someone who can take ownership of SEC/financial reporting while helping develop the accounting function.

• Exposure to both SEC reporting and technical accounting

• Lead and oversee SEC and external financial reporting
  , including 10-Q and 10-K filings
• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
• Partner with external auditors and manage audit requests and technical accounting matters
• Evaluate new accounting standards and their impact on the business
• Oversee and mentor 1–2 accounting team members
• Work cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and other members of the corporate team
• Take on increasing responsibility as the organization continues to grow

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA strongly preferred
• 3–4+ years of Big 4 experience with SEC-registered clients
  , or approximately 4–6 years of combined public accounting and industry experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting
• Inventory accounting experience is highly preferred
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others
