Position: Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Specialist -Project-Based
Location: Cranberry Township

Description

An organization in the Cranberry area is in need of a project based Accounts Receivable Specialist.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist. position is hybrid-2 days in the office/3 days at home.

The project duration is estimated to be 4-6 weeks.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist would be responsible for the following duties:

+ Review and analyze aging reports, outstanding receivables, unapplied cash, and customer credits.

+ Research historical AR transactions and identify the source of discrepancies or unresolved balances.

+ Reconcile invoices, payments, credits, and customer account activity.

+ Investigate aged invoices to determine whether they have been paid, remain outstanding, require reissuance, or need additional follow-up.

+ Contact customers to gather information and ask targeted, thoughtful questions to help resolve account discrepancies.

+ Review historical documentation and supporting records to determine the proper accounting treatment of unresolved items.

+ Match invoices, credits, and payments to the appropriate customer accounts.

+ Escalate complex issues that cannot be resolved through research and analysis.

+ Document findings, recommendations, and resolutions to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account issues and improve data accuracy.

Requirements

+ Previous Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, or Cash Applications experience.

+ Strong reconciliation and research skills.

+ Ability to analyze large volumes of financial data and identify discrepancies.

+ Comfortable contacting customers regarding outstanding invoices and account questions.

+ Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

+ Ability to work independently and know when to escalate issues for assistance.

+ Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems preferred.
