Accounting Specialist

Description

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support core financial operations for a position in Lyon Station, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure smooth payment and billing processes. The successful candidate will contribute to both payables and receivables work while supporting account accuracy across routine financial transactions.

Please be aware that this is a 2nd shift position, with the hours being 5:00pm-1:00am Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and help ensure timely and accurate payment activity.

- Manage customer invoicing tasks and follow through on receivable balances to support consistent cash collection.

- Reconcile account activity by reviewing transactions, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues in a timely manner.

- Maintain organized financial records and update accounting information to reflect current and accurate data.

- Assist with recurring billing-related tasks, including preparing charges and confirming that entries are recorded correctly.

- Support general accounting operations by handling transactional duties across payables, receivables, and related financial workflows.

- Review financial details for accuracy and communicate with internal contacts to clarify missing or inconsistent information.

Requirements

- Experience working with accounts payable processes in a detail-focused accounting or finance setting.

- Experience handling accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and payment tracking.

- Working knowledge of billing procedures and routine accounting support functions.

- Ability to perform account reconciliations with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Familiarity with general accounting practices and transaction processing.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders.
