Accounting Specialist

Location: Warrington

Description

Our client is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger activities, and tax compliance. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end reports.

+ Process customer invoices, cash receipts, credit memos, and credit card payments.

+ Review and process AP invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments (check, ACH, wire).

+ Maintain vendor records, W-9s, ACH information, and assist with 1099 reporting.

+ Prepare weekly AP schedules and maintain accounting files.

+ Process biweekly payroll and maintain employee and timesheet records.

+ Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns.

+ Manage petty cash and assist with other accounting and administrative projects.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 3+ years of accounting experience.

+ Hands-on experience with AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions.

+ Knowledge of account reconciliations, month-end close, 1099s, and Sales & Use Tax.

+ Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Rootstock experience and manufacturing/distribution industry experience are a plus.
