Job Overview
The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for digitizing written Customer/Consumer correspondence, including receiving, prepping, categorizing, and scanning all documents. Emphasis is on accuracy, attention to detail, and knowledge of document types and procedures for each.
Key Responsibilities- Open, prepare, sort, read, review, count, scan and batch incoming mail and all other necessary documents such as contracts, legal communications, law enforcement reports, or departmental requests.
- Index documents in OnBase.
- Meet or exceed efficiency, production, and quality standards each month while ensuring departmental procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with team members and management.
- Share office equipment including scanners and workstations, and ensure it is cleaned up after use before passing on to another team member.
- Relay production concerns timely and effectively to supervisors.
- Work on special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Good organization and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced setting.
- Must possess the ability to multitask and work independently.
- Flexibility to perform multiple tasks in an environment that changes daily based on incoming work.
- Ability to maintain focus, flexibility, and consistently deliver high output.
- Ability to timely elevate production issues.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. consistently throughout the workday.
- Essential employee; 100% work from office.
9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST (Mon‑Fri)
Preferred Skills- Understanding of credit reporting laws preferred.
The pay range for this position is $16.01 – $20.67 per hour.
LocationThe job is assigned as On‑Site Essential and requires in‑person work at an assigned Trans Union office location.
