Administrative Assistant to Elementary School Principal

This position is responsible for the organization and operation of the school office using all accepted clerical and technical skills including, but not limited to, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, typing, filing, bookkeeping, and record keeping. The major goal of the position is to facilitate the flow of communications through the office of the Principal. The position provides administrative support in a manner that is professional, diplomatic and complies with confidentiality.

• The position requires an understanding of the processes and procedures of the elementary school office.
• A high school diploma or the equivalent plus 3 years of experience in related business is necessary.
• Requires submission of pre-employment medical examination.
• Requires original certificates of clearance for the following three background checks:
• Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance
• Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check
• Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)
