Postdoctoral in MRI, Image Processing, Deep Learning, Motion Correction

Position Overview

The Intelligent Medical Imaging Research lab at the Department of Radiological Sciences in the School of Medicine, UCI, is seeking a Postdoctoral candidate in medical image processing with deep learning for motion and distortion correction and image reconstruction in MRI. The lab's focus is on motion-robust magnetic resonance imaging using pulse sequence design, image reconstruction, and real-time image processing, for brain, body, and fetal applications.

• Conduct experiments with MRI data for motion-robust image reconstruction, quality assessment, image harmonization, and real-time image processing.
• Work with various MRI techniques including, specifically, diffusion MRI, functional MRI, and quantitative MRI.
• Develop algorithms and software, and prepare papers, presentations, and reports.

• Deep knowledge and experience in magnetic resonance imaging.
• Experience in C++/Python/CUDA programming for deep learning.
• Development of new deep learning methods for MRI.
• Experience in MRI image reconstruction; motion and distortion correction in MRI.
• Track record of first-author publications in top peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent scientific writing ability and oral communication skills.

• PhD in electrical/biomedical engineering, medical physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or related field, with experience in MRI, image processing, and deep learning.
• High-quality first-authored publications in top journals.
