Position Overview
The Intelligent Medical Imaging Research lab at the Department of Radiological Sciences in the School of Medicine, UCI, is seeking a Postdoctoral candidate in medical image processing with deep learning for motion and distortion correction and image reconstruction in MRI. The lab's focus is on motion-robust magnetic resonance imaging using pulse sequence design, image reconstruction, and real-time image processing, for brain, body, and fetal applications.
Responsibilities- Conduct experiments with MRI data for motion-robust image reconstruction, quality assessment, image harmonization, and real-time image processing.
- Work with various MRI techniques including, specifically, diffusion MRI, functional MRI, and quantitative MRI.
- Develop algorithms and software, and prepare papers, presentations, and reports.
- Deep knowledge and experience in magnetic resonance imaging.
- Experience in C++/Python/CUDA programming for deep learning.
- Development of new deep learning methods for MRI.
- Experience in MRI image reconstruction; motion and distortion correction in MRI.
- Track record of first-author publications in top peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent scientific writing ability and oral communication skills.
- PhD in electrical/biomedical engineering, medical physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or related field, with experience in MRI, image processing, and deep learning.
- High-quality first-authored publications in top journals.
