The Project Controls Analyst (Procurement) supports project teams by developing, tracking, and analyzing budgets, expenditures, risk management, schedules, and other financial reporting functions for one or more projects. This role may be assigned to multiple projects and involves proactive communication with internal teams on known or potential issues. This position is for a project in Ridgefield, New Jersey.
Responsibilities- Support in the delivery of portfolios, programs, and projects.
- Prepare project controls deliverables related to capital planning, portfolio and project governance, front-end planning, project funding, project setup, construction technology, project, cost & commercial management, schedule control, risk management, and project close-out.
- Actively manage vendor contracts and invoicing for accuracy and maintain in-house databases.
- Manage and report on project budgets, maintaining metrics such as original budget, approved changes, and anticipated cost to complete.
- Review project schedules and assist in the development of cash flow forecasts.
- Analyze overall project status and provide preliminary insights on trends, burn rates, and potential risks.
- Engage with internal teams to report on project status updates, coordinate client deliverables, and track open items.
- Review and coordinate vendor compliance deliverables (e.g., insurance certificates, lien waivers, funding forms).
- Lead the financial project closeout, ensuring reconciliation against client and vendor records.
- Attend work during normal business hours and perform other duties as assigned.
- Desire to develop technical competency in project controls offerings such as project setup, construction technology, procure-to-pay, project, cost & commercial management, schedule control, risk management, and project close-out.
- Highly proficient in Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education:
BA in Finance or BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field.

The salary range for this full-time role is $55,000.00-$69,666.67 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects base salary only and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range based on candidate experience, skills, and client requirements.
