What is needed for this job:

  • Proof of an achieved degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field as defined by the appropriate state licensing agency.
  • 2 plus years (2500 Hours) childcare experience

The responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
  • Being patient and kind with our parents
  • Being a role model by making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.
  • Cultivating a sensitive, patient early learning environment for both children and families.
  • Planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
  • Supervising each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
  • Upholding all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
  • Maintaining a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
