Responsibilities
  • Manage field operations and contract administration including safety, personnel, subcontract scheduling, material and equipment procurement and schedule.
  • Lead safety planning and execution.
  • Handle contract management, identifying potential change orders, scope changes, field conditions and bid adjustments.
  • Create and manage budgets.
  • Maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships, mitigating risks and cost overruns.
  • Plan equipment, personnel skill sets, means and methods, and update schedule.
  • Maintain accurate cost accounting, schedule impacts, change‑order logs and communication logs.
  • Submit monthly cost‑to‑complete projections.
  • Manage contract value adjustments due to weather, changed conditions, authorized change orders, pending change orders and quantity completion.
  • Report weekly quantities in Viewpoint.
  • Update budget changes weekly.
  • Ensure all change orders are signed and reconciled every 30 days with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Update change‑order log to reflect current contract amount.
  • Track purchase‑order committed costs accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • 5+ years of project management in heavy civil and bridge construction.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem‑solving ability, and a team‑oriented management approach.
  • OSHA 30‑Hour certification.
