PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS BASED IN CENTRAL INDIANA.

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Responsible for overseeing multiple projects and differing levels of personnel.
  • Accountable for the leadership of assigned personnel.
  • Responsible for safe installations, alterations, additions, and/or repairs of ICT type projects, and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial ICT industry.
  • Will have assigned project labor reporting to him/her. (normally 50+ employees)

Internally:

  • Reports to the Project Manager and interacts with other field personnel as well as support staff (e.g. Human Resources, Estimating, Accounting, Finance, and other corporate services staff).

Externally:

  • May interact with owners, owner representatives, architects, engineers, trade contractors, vendors, and others who are associated with project related activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the field construction and service of assigned projects, primarily related to installation, retrofit and maintenance of structured cabling as well as the related systems (access control, security, audio video, etc), in accordance with the plans and specifications to ensure that each phase of the work is completed on schedule, within the budget, and with the quality workmanship expected by the company and the customer.
  • Enforce, facilitate and follow Company and contract safety requirements.
  • Supervises, inspects, reviews, records and reports on all site construction related activity ensuring that the work is performed on schedule in such a way as to ensure scheduled completion of projects within established budget, time frames, quality and performance standards, and customer/client satisfaction. Expected to supervise multiple projects at the same time.
  • Understand and develop means and methods for the construction/installation or service requirements of the particular project (in conjunction with Project Manager).
  • Assist with quality control functions per contract requirements (submittal reviews, daily reports, preparatory meetings and other production tracking features) to ensure project documentation is in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Participate in regular project/site meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, client representatives and other groups.
  • Responsible for reviewing project documents, plans and specifications, directing construction activities, resolving construction difficulties, coordinating field installations, project close-outs, and developing and/or maintaining customer/client relationships.
  • Coordinate inspections, verifications, test results, and other contractual requirements per the scope of work.
  • Is the primary management team member on the site on a day-to-day basis to identify and correct issues or deficiencies and/or escalate issues and deficiencies up the management chain to Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.
  • All responsibilities to be accomplished within standard operating procedures, project cost, time constraints and quality standards.
  • Performs annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel as directed.
  • Experience with low voltage systems is required.
  • Education:High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience.
  • Experience:Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program. Four or more years of field supervision/management experience and meets position requirements.
  • SPECIALIZED SKILLS:High level interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, organization skills, and must be technology/computer proficient.
