This role focuses on designing a new line of bags and caps inspired by Brazilian aesthetics, tailored for the Southeast Asian market. The project aims to create a distinctive in-house brand that resonates with consumers of Ipanema and Rider sandal brands in Myanmar and Cambodia. The designer will draw inspiration from leading global brands for both men’s and women’s bags, ensuring each product reflects a unique Brazil-inspired identity while remaining commercially viable for mass production.

Responsibilities

• Develop original design concepts for 8 men’s bags and 8 women’s bags, each with a clear Brazil-inspired identity.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications suitable for factory production in China and Vietnam.
• Research and incorporate best-selling design elements from leading brands (e.g., Adidas, Herschel, Nike, Uniqlo, Desigual, Marni, Longchamp, etc.) while maintaining a unique brand personality.
• Ensure all designs meet target cost requirements and align with the desired market positioning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine concepts and adapt designs based on feedback.
• Prepare scalable design templates for future seasonal collections.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product and brand design, specifically in fashion accessories such as bags and caps.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative vision and ability to translate brand DNA into tangible products.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools) and technical specification development.
• Deep understanding of production processes and material selection for mass manufacturing.
• Ability to research and synthesize global design trends, with a focus on both men’s and women’s fashion.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturers in China and Vietnam.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Experience working with Southeast Asian markets is a plus.
