Freelance Animator

This project involves transforming a previously produced live‑action soccer video into a fully animated version, utilizing the existing soundtrack. The animation will depict 13‑year‑old soccer players on the pitch, a goalkeeper missing a shot that results in a goal, and a 16‑year‑old match official blowing the whistle. The final animated video will be targeted at parents, but will also be distributed to referees, coaches, and players.

Both 2D and 3D animation styles are acceptable, and reference materials, including the original and current videos, will be provided. The soundtrack file will be supplied separately to ensure seamless integration with the new visuals.

• Convert all live‑action scenes to animation, accurately reflecting the original video’s narrative and pacing.
• Animate the soccer players (age 13) and the match official (age 16) according to the provided references.
• Integrate the supplied soundtrack with the new animated visuals.
• Ensure the animation is engaging and suitable for a family and youth sports audience.
• Deliver the final video in a high‑quality digital format suitable for online distribution.

• Proven experience in 2D or 3D animation with a strong portfolio demonstrating similar projects.
• Ability to interpret and adapt live‑action footage into compelling animated sequences.
• Proficiency with industry‑standard animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom, Blender, Maya).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to match timing and cues to an existing soundtrack.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with provided reference materials.
• Availability to begin work promptly and deliver within the agreed timeline.
• Experience creating content for youth or sports audiences is a plus.
