We design and manufacture on-product branding solutions used by leading consumer and professional brands across industries including automotive, appliances, electronics, sporting goods, and premium consumer products.

About the Role

Mechanical Engineers at LaFrance Corp are hired as Project Managers, giving early-career engineers the opportunity to take ownership of customer programs from pre-production and design for manufacturing through full-scale production.

In this role, you will manage global customer programs ranging from $10,000 to $1 million in annual sales. You will work across engineering, manufacturing, commercial teams, suppliers, and customers to turn aesthetic and performance requirements into practical, production-ready solutions. Daily collaboration with colleagues and customers in the United States and China is central to keeping programs aligned and moving forward.

What You'll Do

  • Manage global customer programs ranging from $10,000 to $1 million in annual sales from pre-production through full-scale production.
  • Evaluate product and manufacturing feasibility and recommend modifications needed to meet aesthetic and performance specifications.
  • Design process flows that support efficient, repeatable manufacturing.
  • Support vendor selection and lead vendor negotiations for assigned programs.
  • Develop product costing to support program planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee tooling kickoff, pre-production development, component qualification, and production ramp.
  • Collaborate daily with colleagues and customers in the United States and China to maintain alignment, address issues, and support successful program completion.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience as a mechanical, process, quality, or manufacturing engineer; relevant co-op and internship experience is included.
  • Working knowledge of ProE and AutoCAD software.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects through timely completion.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams and departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Accounting.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to visualize desired outcomes and drive work toward results.
  • Ability to travel to LaFrance production facilities in China as required.

We seek team members who demonstrate:

  • A passion for learning, improving, and delivering results.
