EMS Trained Emergency Medicine Physician Needed in Wilkes-Barre, PAFull-Time/Permanent

Seeking a BC/BE EMS fellowship-trained Emergency Medicine physician to join the Emergency Medicine team

• EMS Medical Direction in rural/suburban settings
• Oversight for health system-owned and community partner EMS agencies
• Critical Care Transport medical direction
• Tactical EMS, Special Operations, and Special Event/Mass Gathering EMS
• Medical direction for PSAP (Public Safety Answering Points)
• Potential faculty opportunity with new Emergency Medicine residency program
• Clinical Emergency Medicine in both community and tertiary care Emergency Departments

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required
• Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania
• Skills in patient care, procedural skills, systems-based practice, and professional etiquette

• Established trauma program with Level 1 trauma Medical Center
• Robust EMS program including:
  Nine state-of-the-art helicopters at six base sites
• Two Critical Care Ground Transport vehicles
• Six EMS stations for interfacility and 911 response
• Nationally recognized mobile integrated health program
• Longstanding EM Residency program with an inaugural class in 2026
• Integrated multi-disciplinary teams in ED, including care managers and clinical pharmacists
