Joint Orthopaedic Surgeon

UPMC Altoona is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Total Joint Arthroplasty to join an established, high-volume practice in Altoona, PA. The provider will step into a busy practice with a wait list greater than six months, supported by a comprehensive multidisciplinary team and advanced facilities. Practice Info

• Join an established busy joint practice with a wait list greater than 6 months
• Current orthopaedic surgeons include a trauma/fracture surgeon, a foot and ankle surgeon, a sports medicine surgeon, a hand and upper extremity surgeon, a total joints specialist and a podiatrist
• Additional providers include a non-surgical sports medicine physician and nine physician assistants
• Clinical Academic appointment
• Team physicians for local Division 1 University
• In-office imaging and PACS/EMR system
• Newly constructed 90,000 sq ft medical office complex

Shift & Schedule

• Practice & Trauma Call 1:6 (Level III Trauma Designation)

Requirements

• Must have an MD or equivalent
• BC/BE in Orthopedic Surgery
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license
