About the Role
As a Music Instructor, you will play a crucial role in shaping students' musical and life skills. You will be responsible for all music education-related elements within lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience that challenges and inspires students. The Music Instructor positively embodies rock and roll and is responsible for creating a valuable student experience that helps our students learn music and life skills.
Responsibilities
- Music Instruction:
- Maximize the quality of music instruction through private lessons and show rehearsals.
- Ensure students learn the fundamentals of music, not just songs, using the School of Rock Method.
- Create and document thoughtful lesson plans using our patented teaching Method, Books and Method App.
- Customer Connection:
- Communicate with parents on the progress of students by creating quality lesson notes and assignments in the School of Rock Method App for at-home practice.
- Interact regularly with parents and students by being visible and accessible while at school.
- Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program.
- Assist in rehearsals and with the upkeep of the lesson facilities at the school.
Qualifications
- 2 + years of experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
- Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
- Strong customer relations skills.
- Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers
- Strong organizational skills
- Resourceful; good problem-solver
- Works well under pressure
- Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
- Passion for teaching
Pay range and compensation package
$20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience
