Position SummaryThe Assistant Director of PREP Programming supports all aspects of the PREP (Preventative and Rehabilitative Exercise Programs) initiative, including individual wellness services, adaptive clinical classes, human performance testing, and educational programming. This role helps ensure the delivery of high-quality services while fostering a culture of integrity, curiosity, and positivity among internal and external stakeholders. The Assistant Director also assists the Executive Director in providing leadership and oversight for the PRE program.
EducationRequired
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred; ACSM Exercise Physiology and/or CSCS certification required (or comparable certification).
Experience Required1-3 years of experience in health and fitness assessment and programming, adaptive fitness, wellness education, or a related field (or a combination of these areas)
Skills, Characteristics Required for Position- Demonstrated competence in wellness assessment and program design
- Ability to effectively and appropriately mentor student interns
- Strong collaboration skills with professionals both within and outside the university
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to treating individuals with dignity and maintaining confidentiality
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
This position occasionally requires early morning, evening, or weekend hours.

Primary Duties- Conduct individual wellness assessments and provide results with corresponding individualized programs
- Plan and implement adaptive clinical group classes and ensure appropriate follow-up for ongoing PREP members
- Assist with testing in the Human Performance Lab
- Provide professional leadership during PREP sessions
- Co‑lead the annual Unified 5K race
- Lead one group exercise class
- Maintain professional expertise by staying current with trends and research, maintaining certifications, and attending professional conferences and events
