Pay RangeBase pay range: $55,937.00/yr - $85,855.00/yr. Salary follows the Collective Bargaining Agreement Salary Schedule, starting at Bachelor’s, Step 1 - $55,937 for the 25/26 SY.
ScheduleMonday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 190 days/year.
Job GoalTo provide families and professional staff with case management and transition services to ensure that eligible young children ages 3 to school‑age succeed in school and community settings, including home environments. All support must be consistent with IDEA federal regulations and PA Chapter 14 and Act 212 State regulations.
Performance Responsibilities- Demonstrate attributes of a trained and knowledgeable professional as required by State and Federal regulations.
- Describe and share knowledge of laws and basic education circulars related to early intervention with families and agency contacts.
- Participate in completion of forms and formats associated with the laws, including Evaluation Report and Individual Education Program.
- Share knowledge about normal child development and disabilities, including autism.
- Describe the philosophy and curricula used by the Preschool Program to parents, staff, and agency staff.
- Maintain interagency and community contacts to provide information about Preschool EI services.
- Participate in enrollment, evaluation, and school‑age transition processes.
- Provide information to families, community agency staff, and others about specific children’s development.
- Work with and coordinate professionals required to meet regulations and IEP requirements; assemble the correct team members as necessary.
- Participate in development of data collection systems by writing goals and outcomes that reflect manageable data collection.
- Interact with parents and other professionals in a collaborative manner that promotes progress of eligible young children.
- Maintain and update knowledge base related to job responsibilities by participating in staff development activities, workshops, conventions, and reading relevant literature.
- Gather information about eligible young children and use it to present a balanced description of the child’s strengths and needs.
- Attend and facilitate meetings related to job requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of staff in‑service programs for EI staff, childcare staff, and others as required by the Program Supervisor.
- Assist in recommending instructional materials, assistive technology, software, and evaluation and assessment materials.
- Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or his/her designee.
