The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for a 0.875 FTE (7 hours per day) School Nutrition Employee/Cook at Longfellow Middle School. Projected start date:
February 9, 2026.

• Serve as cashier on line using automated Skyward program.
• General food preparation, serving and cleanup.
• Work in storeroom and clean equipment.
• Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment and practice work simplification techniques, work independently.
• Will be reaching, carrying, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting and handling items weighing up to 40 pounds when performing duties.
• Will be standing and walking most of the day.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Hours may be reduced or increased if participation is different from what is anticipated.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• SNA Level 1 Certification required within 18 months of employment. Maintaining certification is the responsibility of the School Nutrition Employee.
• Successful completion of a mandatory Job Specific Screen required before employment.

• Reaching, carrying, pushing, bending, stooping, crouching, lifting, handling items up to 40 pounds.
