Job Summary

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hireemployees with experience working with diverse populations.

The Department of Elementary, Middle Level, Library and Learning Technologies at Kutztown University invites applicants for ourtemporary adjunct pool in teacher education for the following areas:
PreK-4 methods courses in science, math, social studies, and literacy. Middle level (grades 4-8) methods courses in literacy.

Student teaching field supervision in both areas. Undergraduate or graduate course offerings could be day or evening. We are seekingcolleagues who have a passion for preparing the next generation of teachers.

A master's degree in the field of education, with at least 5 years'experience teaching in K-8, is required.

Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be certified tobe placed in our part-time adjunct faculty pool and will remain inthe pool while the pool is active. As need arises, applicants inthe pool will be considered and contacted for an on-campusinterview. During the on-campus interview, a successful interview and demonstration of abilities are required to be selected.

Doctorate and at least one year of college-level teaching experience or equivalent, experience working with diverse learnersis preferred.

ESL Endorsement, Special Education Certification, Instructional Coaching Endorsement, and/or interests in teacher inquiry or actionresearch are encouraged.
