Personal Care Assistant - Floater

We are currently seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Floater to provide behavioral, academic, and personal care support to students across all district schools. In this versatile role, you will assist assigned students with educational programs, daily living tasks, and specialized needs under the direction of classroom teachers and case managers. Candidates must be comfortable receiving day-of assignments and traveling to any elementary, middle, or high school within the district as needed.

• Provide instruction, behavior support, and academic assistance to individuals or small groups as directed by classroom teachers.
• Assist students with personal hygiene, including hand washing, toileting, changing diapers, and managing clothing.
• Help monitor and control student behavior using positive behavior intervention support policies and established guidelines.
• Assist physically handicapped students with health and safety needs, including positioning, repositioning, and using orthopedic equipment or braces.
• Support students with special daily needs, including feeding, mobility, and monitoring general health conditions.
• Prepare and support students during integration into mainstreamed classes and social interactions.
• Assist teachers in maintaining accurate records related to student progress and daily activities.
• Attend required training sessions and in-services related to instructional programs and medical interventions.
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, caseworkers, and school support staff.

• High School Diploma or GED (official diploma or transcripts required).
• Previous relevant experience working with students in an educational or supportive setting.
