As Operations Technician III, you’ll perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, safely maintaining facility equipment and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record‑keeping and a focus on safety will bring success in this role.
Responsibilities/Expectations- Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations; read/interpreting drawings, inspecting/supervising equipment, and maintaining operational/technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
- Conduct data analysis and collaborate with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems.
- Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
- Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
- Maintain general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specifc permits and compliance.
- Complete assigned reports, logs and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Required:
High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role. - Preferred:
Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces.
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team‑lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time.
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
- Use hand tools.
- Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises.
- May be required to work overtime, 10–12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
- Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Demonstrate aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational/interpersonal skills with safety as the utmost priority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills; advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
Thoroughly understands industry and system requirements. Has demonstrated ability to produce results and to meet more complex goals.
