Hardware Development Engineer – Electrical (Reedsville, PA)
Job Overview: As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will sustain post launch PCBAs and electrical components for ultrasound products. You will work with a cross‑functional team to support existing hardware throughout the product life cycle, troubleshoot field issues, implement design changes, support manufacturing, and ensure product reliability.
Responsibilities- Post‑Launch Support – Provide post‑launch support for PCBAs and electrical components, lead complex technical projects, and mentor junior engineers.
- Lifecycle Engineering – Support electromechanical systems throughout production and after‑market phases, perform root cause analysis, and develop design solutions. Assist in verification and validation activities.
- Design and Documentation – Create and update PCBA design packages and electrical specifications, review and approve designs for release to contract manufacturers.
- Component Management – Manage component obsolescence, qualify alternate parts through testing and verification, and monitor product performance metrics.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective actions, design enhancements, and participate in design reviews.
- At least 3 years of electrical or electronics engineering experience in hardware development projects.
- Strong skills in electrical design principles, circuit fundamentals, analog/mixed‑signal and digital designs, and bonus experience in DFSS, DFMEA, DFM.
- BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency with configuration management tools (e.g., eMatrix, Windchill, SAP, Agile) and electrical CAD tools (e.g., DxDesigner, Cadence, Altium).
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills.
- Open to traveling domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
