This is an excellent opportunity to learn from some of the best civil & structural engineers and construction managers in the field.

Actively searching for a Civil or Structural Engineer for a full-time permanent staff opportunity, focused on structural design (bridges) and is open to hiring individuals pursuing or having (EIT) through senior level registered (PE) professional engineers, with a minimum of two or more years of experience. Duties will reflect appropriately with the level of experience. Experience in civil-structural engineering design for a variety of heavy civil construction projects desired.

Responsibilities:

• Design of projects under the direction of a registered professional engineer
• Perform studies, calculations, and designs and preparation of work plans in accordance with project requirements and engineering standards
• Provide technical support for inner department staff on assigned projects
• Quality control of self-produced work

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering program
• Approximately two (2) or more years of structural design experience
• Experience designing bridges, structures, and transportation projects
• EIT certification/ Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with subcontractors, staff and project teams
• Strong organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail
