The role involves taking ownership of structural engineering deliverables, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing expertise to projects in aerospace, nuclear, and other critical industries.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform advanced structural computations and analyses, applying complex theory to practical design.
  • Create and review calculations, reports, design input records, and other technical documentation produced by structural engineers.
  • Partner with mechanical and electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to meet project requirements.
  • Support Field Service with technical field solutions and the manufacturing team with technical equipment inquiries.
  • Review drawings and bills of materials for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
  • Ensure safety, collaboration, and quality within the Structural Engineering department.
  • Mentor team members and share specialized knowledge within the group.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
  • Master of Science or PhD in Engineering is a plus.
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Strong background in static analysis and design of steel structures, including strength of materials and beam theory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Wrike.
  • Experience with Mathcad, Solid Works, AutoCAD, or other equivalent software.
  • Experience and knowledge of steel girder, column, and connection design, fatigue stress analysis, reinforced concrete design, and applicable codes (CMAA, ASCE/SEI-7, AISC-360, AWS, ASME, ACI).
  • Seismic and vibration analysis experience a plus.
Preferred Certifications
  • Active Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer license (or equivalent international credential) in good standing.
