LabVIEW Engineer

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Work within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co‑workers and onsite engineering in the USA.
• Coordinate the onsite customer product owner and offshore teams.
• Minimum 5 years experience in LabVIEW, Test Stand, National Instruments hardware, debuggers, IDEs, and Pickering instruments.
• Experience interfacing with various electronics hardware and communication channels (COTS hardware with LabVIEW).
• Proficient with communication protocols RS232, RS485, Ethernet, MVB, USB, I2C, SPI, etc.
• Excellent understanding of data flow, parallel programming, and state flow diagrams.
• Design, develop, simulate, and test automation applications using LabVIEW and Test Stand.
• Analyse and test software applications using LabVIEW; debug and modify LabVIEW code to resolve bugs.
• Sound understanding of the software development life‑cycle and software testing life‑cycle; familiarity with IEEE documentation standards.
• Proficient in electronics testing with lab equipment; knowledge of digital and analog electronics; able to read and interpret circuit diagrams (schematics and layouts) and debug circuits using DMM, scope, function generator, logic analyser, etc.
• Knowledge of test fixture or test cable design for interfacing with the unit under test using relays and instrumentation.
• Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical adapter parts; suggest changes as per project requirements.
• Basic knowledge of Windows registries, setting up user profiles, and MS Office.
• Participate in discussions and reviews of test plans, test procedures, and software requirements; make changes as necessary.
• Effective English written and oral communication skills.
• Create LabVIEW and Test Stand applications with minimal supervision; deliver bug‑free software in a fast‑paced agile development environment; develop software modularly.
• Good understanding and hands‑on experience of sound software programming practices and guidelines.
