Structural Project Engineer – DCI Engineers, Wayne, PA

DCI Engineers is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our Wayne, PA office. The role involves design, analysis, and construction support for building projects while collaborating with engineers, BIM designers, and clients.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform structural design tasks under supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with BIM Designers to produce construction documents and draft details in REVIT.
  • Assist Project Managers with construction support, including shop drawing review and responding to RFIs.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all construction documents.
  • Progressively grow technical knowledge through internal projects and continuing education.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
What You Bring
  • 0–4 years of structural engineering experience related to building design.
  • Knowledge of steel, concrete, and wood design materials.
  • Experience designing gravity framing and wind‑resisting systems.
  • Basic knowledge of codes such as AISC, ACI 318, IBC, ASCE 7.
  • Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., RISA 3D, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc).
  • Strong time‑management and multitasking abilities.
  • Desire to provide excellent service and build strong client relationships.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and effective communication skills.
  • State‑issued Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certificate.
  • Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering degree from an ABET‑accredited university (Master’s preferred).
