Motion Control Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Your main responsibilities- Define and document core motion control concepts (architecture, control strategies, safety principles) to be applied across projects
- Design and implement motion control algorithms for electric motors and robotic systems
- Perform system commissioning and tuning, including PID parameter optimization and motor calibration
- Collaborate with Hardware and Electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of control software with drives, sensors and actuators
- Document software architecture, control strategies, and commissioning procedures for internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure training and technical support of the company’s engineers

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in software engineering or automation
- Min. 3 to 5 years proven experience in industrial software environment
- Strong knowledge of motor control principles (mainly servo motors)
- Expertise in control theory (PID, feed forward, cascaded loops)
- Familiarity with motion control hardware (drives, encoders, sensors)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in real-time environments
- Knowledge of safety standards for motion systems
- Knowledge of C++ language: an asset
- Ability to write documentation and to elaborate and give training
- Proficient in French. English:
Spoken and written. Other language/German: an asset
