About H55
H55isa leader inelectricpropulsion for aviation and thetechnologicalspin-off of Solar Impulse, the firstelectricaircrafttoflyaroundthe world.
We design and certify
Electric Propulsion Units(EPU), Energy Storage Systems(ESS), and High-Voltage (HV) componentsthatenable clean, safe, and efficient flight.
Supported by global investors, H55isexpandingitsengineeringcapabilities, production footprint, and North American operations.
The Product Architect (PA) for theMotor
Controller (MC) operateswithinH
55’sDesign
Organization(EASA Part-21J DOA) andisthetechnicalauthorityfor the complete
MCproductlife cycle—from architecturedefinitiontoindustrialization,testing, and certification.
The MCispart of aredundantdual-channel
EPU architecture (CH1/CH2) designedtoensureresilienceagainst
OCI (One-Channel-Inoperative) events andavoid
LOPC-E (Lossof Power Control –Electrical) ataircraftlevel.
The PA reports to theChief
Engineer(CE) andworkscloselywith
PMO,Supply Chain, Production, Test, and Compliance/Airworthiness teams.
Define, own, and maintain theMC product architecture, including HW, SW, control strategies, HV interfaces, safety mechanisms, and dual-channel topology.
Makehigh-leveldesignchoices(HLD) ensuringcompliancewithH
55processes, certification norms(CS-23, ARP
4754A, ARP
4761, DO-160), andtechnologystandards.Guide engineering teams(Power Electronics, Controls, FPGA/SW, Test) through the
V-Cycle:requirements→ design →integration→ V&V → qualification.
Collaborate with
CEs, System Engineering,Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering,Mechanical Engineering Procurement ,Industrialization, manufacturingmangement, Production, and Qualitytoensurefull itemreadinessacrossdesign, procurement, assembly, and testing.Support Make/Buy analysis, supplier technical evaluation, andDfM/DfA/DfTactivities.
Ensurescheduleadherencefor all MCdevelopmentphasesincludingprototyping, testing, qualification, and certification.
Provide inputs,risks,priorities, and technical
KPIstoPMO,enabling efficient planning andresourceallocation.
Classify and monitor
Item-Level Risks (ILR) and lead mitigation plans.Ensure
MC compliance with
