PLC Controls Engineer

A well-established industrial automation organization is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer to join its growing technical team. This role offers hands‑on involvement with complex control systems, customer‑facing problem solving, and the opportunity to work across a variety of industrial environments.

Troubleshoot and support PLC‑based control systems, including drives, HMIs, networks, and related components

Design, program, and modify control systems for industrial applications

Develop and interpret electrical and control documentation

Build and support control panels in compliance with applicable codes and standards

Perform system startup, commissioning, and on‑site support as needed

Provide remote and on‑site technical assistance to customers

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex automation challenges

Identify technical risks and contribute to practical, reliable solutions

2+ years of experience in PLC controls, automation engineering, or a related role

Strong experience with Allen‑Bradley PLCs and HMIs

Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to work with minimal supervision

Comfortable reading and creating AutoCAD electrical drawings

Strong verbal and written communication skills (English required)

Organized, detail‑oriented, and customer‑focused

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar field

Experience with additional PLC platforms (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.)

Motion control or electrical construction background

Strong industrial networking and IT fundamentals
