- Responsible for safety design modifications and improvements to equipment and facilities.
- Responsible for safety investigations and corrective actions.
- Responsible for developing, documenting, and improving preventive maintenance programs to support equipment availability and throughput.
- Responsible for developing, documenting, and improving predictive maintenance programs using techniques such as vibration analysis, thermo‑graphic imaging, etc.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment failures and loss of production; assist maintenance and provide technical guidance to return equipment to operation, minimizing downtime and lost production; provide "on call" support.
- Analyze production delay data for establishing and documenting or modifying preventive maintenance tasks; generate continuous improvement projects based on this data.
- Prepare and review equipment failure/root cause analysis reports, determine/evaluate corrective action items, and assess their impact on preventive maintenance programs.
- Develop cost justifications for improvement projects and corrective actions.
- Develop work orders detailing requests to implement improvement projects or corrective actions; follow‑up and audit to ensure proper completion.
- Coordinate outside contractor work activities with maintenance or production personnel to minimize impacts to cost and production.
- Responsible for critical spare parts assessments and parts standardization.
- Responsible for developing and implementing standard operating procedures, training, and skill development for all personnel.
- Determine and install performance metrics that promote long‑term continuous improvement aligned with departmental objectives.
- Provide support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
- Perform project engineering duties.
- Fill in for the supervisors or department manager as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Formal training or experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Maintenance engineering or supervisory experience with a minimum of 3‑5 years of proven experience.
