We are seeking a talented and innovative Plumbing Department Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design, be proficient in various design software, and have experience in Plumbing Systems Design. This role involves creating detailed schematics, drafting designs, and assembling components for many projects. The supervisor provides technical leadership, manages a team of designers and engineers, reviews project deliverables, and supports coordination with other disciplines (HVAC, electrical, civil, and architectural).
Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and supervise plumbing designers and draftsmen.
- Design and develop plumbing and fire protection systems, including hot/cold water, waste/vent, storm drainage, and gas systems.
- Prepare load calculations, fixture specifications, schedules, riser diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Work with AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus) to draft piping systems and coordinate with project team members.
- Ensure compliance with building codes (IPC, NFPA 99, and other relevant standards).
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities.
- Provide on‑site verification of plumbing systems and support construction administration.
- 5 years of Plumbing Systems Design (Required).
- Plumbing Systems Design Certificate (from ASPE or similar) (Preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit/BIM experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
- Experience in drafting schematics and technical drawings with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with building, plumbing, and fire protection codes.
- Excellent problem‑solving and teamwork skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
