As NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.
- Participate in trade studies and analyses that will influence the design and performance of the hardware used for exploration and sample curation during Lunar excursions.
- Develop verification and validation plans and statements.
- Review and provide comments on program documentation.
- Coordinate with Artemis system management teams.
- Work in a team environment and report to the team lead to provide status on progress and issues and for support.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience with the development of requirements documents including functional requirements and verification success criteria.
- Experience with the design, assembly, testing, verification, and operation of hardware.
- Basic knowledge of commonly‑used concepts, practices, and procedures in a hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, and design of software and tools.
- Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and two (2) years of direct engineering experience.
- Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures.
- Experience with development of EVA hardware.
- Experience with Systems Engineering processes and techniques.

- 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), when applicable.

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and MachinesStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
AttendanceRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
