Qualifications and responsibilities for this Dam Safety Engineer position include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license in PA or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Minimum 5 years of dam design or dam safety engineering experience, preferably with exposure to water utility systems.
  • Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards for Aqua-owned dams.
  • Partner with consultants and regulatory agencies like PA DEP for inspections, reporting, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Develop and improve Emergency Action Plans, O&M plans, and training related to dam safety.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to senior leadership on dam capital investments and safety risks.
  • Travel regionally (up to 25%), including site visits and working with municipalities and vendors.
  • Represent the company in regulatory hearings and maintain strong professional relationships with authorities.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
