Position: Development Quality Engineer
Location: Valley Green, PA

- Act as a team member to manage projects, assess quality aspects, report process feasibility and risks, and make quality recommendations.
- Interface with vendors, process engineering, product engineering and manufacturing to assure capability levels and documentation compliance.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to investigate deviation events, recommend corrective actions and product disposition, and develop improvements using Lean tools and analytical skills.
- Interface with site quality, engineering and other departments throughout final phases of development and pre‑release to manufacturing.
- Participate in definition of project plan qualification tasks and schedules for development projects to meet time‑to‑market objectives.
- Determine initial inspection methods and manage metrology requirements.
- Facilitate process qualification planning, assurance of conformance to standards, and definition of inspection workflows.
- Support quality readiness by providing inspection plans, metrology and Cpk requirements for special qualifications.
- Participate in risk analysis, DOE, passive data collection, and feasibility studies.
- Participate in product & process FMEA and characterization of critical features.
- Develop, facilitate and control standards and methods for inspection of CTFs inclusive of accuracy, linearity, R&R, long‑term stability, FAI, Cmk and Cpk.
- Analyze operating data (yield, cycle time, throughput) to identify improvement opportunities using Six Sigma and Lean tools.
- Assist in reconciling first‑article inspections, capability studies, and comparison studies through root‑cause analysis.
- Advise process development and mechanical integrity engineers on data analysis for feasibility studies, DOE and capability studies.
- Advance capabilities of Operations Team and partner with Quality Team to implement new test methods and best practices.
- Coordinate and participate in metrology transfer and training to relevant personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality Assurance, or 6–8 years of related experience (or equivalent education and experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and procedures.
- Capability to identify and eliminate common‑cause variation in continuous or batch processes using SPC.
- Experience defining and generating quality plans, control plans and workmanship standards.
- Ability to provide qualification assessments related to product/process risks, capability and manufacturability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint), Measurement System Analysis, Minitab, Gage R&R, GDT, and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated skill in training individuals and teams.
- Ability to work independently, managing project status updates and resolving issues.
- Willingness to travel internationally for product development and process ramp support.
