- Conduct and oversee traffic impact studies, safety analyses, and traffic flow evaluations.
- Prepare technical reports, plans, and specifications for highway and traffic engineering projects, including signals, signage, and pavement markings.
- Perform and review studies involving parking restrictions, sight distance, speed limits, and pavement markings.
- Lead the design and analysis of traffic control devices using Synchro, HCS, or similar software.
- Develop and optimize signal timing plans to improve efficiency and safety.
- Conduct field investigations and site visits to collect data and assess real-world conditions.
- Collaborate across departments and with clients to deliver high-quality, timely project outcomes.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules for municipal and commercial clients.
- Participate in staff, client, and public meetings, addressing technical and community concerns.
- Stay current with industry standards and technology advancements to apply best practices in traffic engineering.
- Ensure all designs and analyses comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering. or a related Field.
- 3-8 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to work in both field and office environments.
- Willingness to travel locally throughout the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.
- Proficiency with traffic analysis software such as Synchro, HCS, or similar tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative, problem solving mindset.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience with project management and leading project teams is a plus.
