SAIC is seeking a highly organized and motivated leader with a diverse set of engineering technician, asset management, and/or logistical skills to serve as the Operations Lead for a fleet of trailers used to transport explosive assets and related equipment. This will support the U.S. Navy in Crane, IN.
Job Responsibilities- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and will report technical and programmatic information to project stakeholders.
- Work in a team environment with Government and SAIC engineers to design, develop, test and implement modern systems for the U.S. Navy.
- Monitor inspection intervals and coordinate with SAIC, Government, and local vendors to ensure inspection cycles are met without impacting mission needs.
- Play a pivotal role in facilitating the transfer of technology and technical information between SAIC and the U.S. Navy.
- Serve as the technical expert and on-site representative, driving collaboration and ensuring seamless integration of new technologies and processes to meet mission requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.
- Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Must be able to work with schematics and engineering drawings.
- Must have the ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems on operational hardware and software.
- Must have ability to effectively communicate issues to technical team through verbal communication and technical reports.
- Hydraulic and Electrical background.
