Director Engineering, product development and Quality Control

We are searching for a full time direct hire Director Engineering Product Development and Quality Control in Ebensburg, PA to oversee the Engineering, Product Development and Quality Control departments

• Meeting with the Chief Operating Officer and/or the President on a regular basis to discuss accomplishment of present and future business objectives regarding engineering, product development and quality control.
• Developing and implementing a strategic management plan related to product development, engineering initiatives and quality control in collaboration with associated departments.
• Providing leadership and guidance to staff regarding engineering functions and operations including research and development, quality assurance, testing, and production of new and existing product lines.
• Managing the engineering, product development and quality control budgets and associated projects to ensure cost effectiveness.
• Working directly with the Quality Control Manager to ensure that the required standards are being met and operating procedures are being followed.
• Remaining current with new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices and utilizing related knowledge to continuous improvement of product lines.
• Collaborating with leadership to determine and achieve priorities according to business objectives.
• Supervising the creation and review of engineering and quality policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Continually researching and analyzing associated data and reports to ensure compliance with functional and performance specifications.
• Ensuring that support to sales and marketing departments regarding product presentations and customer support is being provided in a timely and professional manner.
• Utilizing engineering and designing software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
• Attending trade shows and training conferences, as required.
• Attending social recreation events to provide supervision and assistance for handicapped individuals, as required.

• - Bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum of two years related experience in product research and development. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

  - *** Professional Engineer certification required.*** Must initiate certification process in International Organization of Standards (ISO) within two years of employment.
