, a steadily growing, multi-disciplined engineering, surveying, and architectural firm, has the following employment opportunity available in our Hollidaysburg office:

Stiffler McGraw is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to support and manage a variety of roadway, bridge, traffic, and transportation infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant transportation engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in Pennsylvania preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of PennDOT LRFD is desirable.
• Experience with roadway design, bridge design or rehabilitation, drainage, ADA accessibility, traffic engineering, or transportation construction projects
• Experience preparing construction plans, specifications, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and permit documentation
• Strong project coordination, organizational, and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, transportation agencies, and regulatory agencies
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and project priorities with limited supervision

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of transportation infrastructure projects. Projects may include roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation, bridge design and rehabilitation, intersection improvements, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, ADA curb ramp improvements, drainage improvements, traffic control, signing and pavement marking, and other transportation-related projects.

Responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing conceptual, preliminary, and final construction plans, specifications, technical reports, permit applications, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and related project documentation. The successful candidate will coordinate with municipal and public-sector clients, PennDOT, contractors, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies; participate in field investigations and construction observation; assist with project scheduling and budgets; and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff as appropriate.
