Mechanical Drafter

Location: Dallastown

Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Drafter/Designer opening in Southern York County, PA. This person will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed technical drawing and models using CAD software. This person will translate 3D models, design concepts, and specifications from engineers and designers into precise 2D drawings. The core purpose is to provide the critical drawings needed for manufacturing, construction, or product development, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry and company standards.

Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position:

+ Create detailed 2D technical drawings and modify 3D models using CAD software, adhering to project specifications and industry standards.

+ Revise and update existing drawings based on redlines, markups, and design changes provided by engineers or designers.

+ Convert sketches, verbal instructions, and design concepts into precise digital drawings for manufacturing, construction, or assembly.

+ Collaborate with engineers, architects, and designers to clarify design intent and resolve drawing discrepancies.

+ Maintain Organized CAD files and drawing documentation while following established revision-control and document-control procedures.

Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates:

+ Associates Degree in Engineering CAD Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related discipline

+ Experience using a 3D CAD software

+ Experience using a 2D CAD software

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallastown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
