Game Designer

We are seeking passionate and creative Game Designers to join our team at Alter Learning. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in designing and developing engaging games that revolutionize education.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to conceptualize and implement game mechanics, features, and user interfaces.
• Use research from scientists and lesson plans from educators to influence gameplay and design.
• Create and maintain design documents.
• Develop interactive, educationally focused experiences.
• Conduct playtests and gather feedback to iterate and improve game development.

• Team working experience and strong collaboration abilities.
• Google workspace (G suite) professional usage knowledge.
• Ability to create clear Game Design Documentation.
• Proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for creating innovative and impactful educational experiences.

• Previously released games
• Experience in educational game development.
• Experience with VR/AR technologies and platforms.
• Familiarity with the mobile gaming industry.
• Familiarity with Trello (or similar workflow management software)
• Deep understanding of game production flows
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum
• Technical game design knowledge or programming experience
• 2D Concept Art or 3D modeling skills
