Overview
For our client, a mid-sized private bank, we are seeking a Portfolio Manager
, reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management
.
You will have the opportunity to evolve within a dynamic team in a human-scale institution with an international presence.
Your Role and Responsibilities- Identify and execute investment opportunities across multiple asset classes.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis.
- Manage risk exposures and contribute to the overall success of the firm’s investment strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues across functions — including research, trading, risk management, and operations — to achieve portfolio objectives and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with portfolio objectives, risk tolerance, and market conditions.
- Contribute to product development, from concept to final delivery, engaging with key stakeholders across the organization at every stage of the process.
- Actively participate in multi-asset portfolio management, including asset allocation, fund selection, and strategy implementation.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within private banking or wealth management.
- Strong expertise in equity analysis, security selection, and portfolio management.
- Proven ability to translate investment views into actionable trading strategies for client portfolios.
- Experience with derivatives trading as part of effective portfolio management.
- Solid understanding of the Fixed Income and Securities environment (CH, EU, and US).
- In-depth knowledge of micro and macro valuation drivers, as well as market sentiment, positioning, and technical analysis.
- Demonstrated ability in fund selection and multi-asset allocation.
- Strong knowledge of Swiss asset management and banking regulations (LSFin, FINMA).
- Familiarity with structured products.
- Excellent communication skills to convey market insights and investment perspectives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Deep commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Proven track record in discretionary portfolio management and multi-asset strategy implementation.
- CH / EU nationality and Swiss residency required.
