Job Responsibilities
  • Greet walk‑in customers with a friendly smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Provide efficient and accurate service, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries.
  • Engine financial transactions at the Universal Banker terminal, cross‑sell bank products, and maintain assigned limits.
  • Educate customers on bank products and services, helping them make informed decisions.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to cross‑sell consumer credit products, using an NMLS License when required.
  • Stay current with industry trends, product knowledge, and attend training sessions to enhance skills.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless service integration.
  • Resolve all customer issues proactively, working with urgency to exceed expectations.
  • Adhere to banking regulations and compliance standards, maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist Universal Supervisor with cash shipments, vault and ATM audits as needed.
  • Maintain daily teller difference reports and perform opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related field a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of face‑to‑face customer service experience in a banking or retail environment with cash handling experience.
  • PC literacy; experience with Salesforce or comparable Customer Relationship Management system a plus.
  • Proficient in banking software and technology, with a high level of accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards, and familiarity with bank products such as mortgages, auto loans, and home equity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent judgment, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, with a genuine passion for helping others and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth, with a desire to learn and develop new skills.
Physical & Sensory Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to learn and sell bank products and services.
  • Function in a financial institution/branch environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  • Outgoing and proactive with strong listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Lifting heavy coin trays and standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time while working on a computer.
  • Willingness to travel locally to attend training or support bank staffing needs.
