Director of Finance | Merion Station, PA | $100K–$110K
A well-established nonprofit educational organization is seeking a hands-on Director of Finance to oversee financial operations and serve as a key financial partner to executive leadership and the Board.
This is a high-visibility role with no direct reports, ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and strategic sides of nonprofit finance.
What You’ll Do- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and monthly financial reporting
- Present financial results and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board
- Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, audit, and compliance
- Review the annual Form 990 prepared by an outside tax accountant
- Oversee restricted vs. unrestricted contribution/fund accounting
- Support tuition assistance, accounts receivable, and a small amount of grant accounting
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to organizational leadership
- 5–7+ years of financial management experience
- Nonprofit accounting experience required
- Strong experience with restricted and unrestricted funds/contributions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- CPA/MBA and Board/Finance Committee experience preferred
