Location: Township of Marple
Join Sevita as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) – Part‑time and help individuals live well in their community.
Location & ScheduleBroomall, PA – Part‑time, 4–5 days per week (hourly scheduling).
Compensation$22–$24 per hour, based on experience and certifications.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with people served.
- Follow treatment plans, use sound judgment, and seek consultation when needed.
- Collaborate with families and treatment teams to deliver behavior‑management techniques.
- Educate parents or guardians on reinforcement and intervention strategies.
- Promote safe, socially acceptable replacement behaviors to develop communication, social interaction, and problem‑solving skills.
- Review progress objectively using behavior analytic methods and report findings to supervisors or behavior analysts.
- Accurately collect behavior data (e.g., A‑B‑C, counts, frequencies, durations, latencies).
- Complete all documentation promptly and accurately.
- Prepare incident reports as required by agency policy.
- Review daily updates on program changes and train staff on implementation.
- Communicate with staff to ensure correct program delivery and provide retraining.
- Schedule and facilitate leisure activities to keep individuals engaged when therapy sessions are not scheduled.
- Attend clinical meetings (e.g., access review, progress conferences).
- Maintain up‑to‑date residential status of participants and address issues per clinical recommendations.
- High school diploma (bachelor’s in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred).
- Experience in a related field preferred.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or completion of 40‑hour RBT course (plus).
- Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and car insurance.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly.
- Strong listening skills and empathy while guiding behavior interventions.
- Part‑time hours currently available.
