INphysics, a One Physics partner, is seeking a full‑time Therapy Medical Physicist based in Indianapolis, IN. INphysics is an innovative and growing medical physics consulting practice servicing clients in Indiana, Western Ohio, and North Carolina. Our physicists give clients “peace of mind” that all their medical physics needs are addressed. They respond to diverse, complex questions and drive our clients toward the highest standards for their radiation therapy and radiation safety programs.
The RoleWe are searching for a highly skilled, compassionate Therapy Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team of experts. Our physicists work with state‑of‑the‑art equipment to provide a range of radiation oncology services, ensuring development of a well‑rounded set of skills and growth in the industry. Our team provides strong support and a focus on building partnerships.
Clinic Information- Based in Indianapolis, IN.
- Supported by 1 other physicist, 2 dosimetrists and 4 radiation oncologists.
- Facilities: 2 Elekta Versa
HDs, Monaco and Oncentra TPS with Mosaiq record and verify, plus Sun Nuclear equipment for QA. - Excellent facility with amazing staff and radiation oncologists.
- Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.
- Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.
- Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
- Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
- Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.
- Perform additional duties, as needed.
- Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.
- A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
- 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret regulations.
- A willingness to go “above and beyond” for clients and fellow colleagues.
- Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects.
- Ability to problem solve by seeking, developing, and implementing viable solutions.
- Requires ability to use and move equipment.
- Requires a variety of physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, stopping, lifting, carrying.
- Exposure to radiation, communicable diseases, and other conditions common to radiation therapy setting.
