Job DescriptionJob Description:
• Working within the Prostate/IO drug discovery team to execute in vitro and ex vivo experiments to be used for compound candidate selection and to explore the therapeutic potential of drug targets.
• Contribute to development, optimization and troubleshooting of immunological-based assays
• Works with minimal supervision on projects of moderate to complex scope
• Uses good verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to communicate with other team members Other duties include data analyses, maintain electronic notebook records of experimental data, summarize and communicate results in internal meetings
Must have experience in:
• Flow cytometry techniques and flow cytometry analysis. Multicolor flow cytometry experience is strongly desirable. /p>
• Basic aseptic cell culture technique, such as maintaining cell lines and primary cells, cell banking, etc .
• Basic skills in molecular biology including transfection and viral transduction, DNA isolation, cloning, etc .
• Experience with cell-based immunoassays, and working with primary cells and ex- vivo analyses is desired .
• Familiarity with basic cell purification techniques and immunological phenotyping procedures, as well as processing blood and primary human and rodent tissues, is also desired Demonstrated creativity and Client approaches to solving technical problems
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people, internally and externally Methodical, reliable and comfortable working under fixed timelines Detail-oriented, with excellent record-keeping skills
QualificationsRequirements:
BA/BS or MA/MS degree in immunology, pharmacology, molecular biology, cancer biology, or related field. 2-5 years of experience (MS/MA) or 2-8 years (BA/BS) years of experience, performing progressively advanced duties at the Associate Scientist I level, or the equivalent training/experience
