In Home and Community Support Staff CNA position in Myerstown

We are seeking a Support Service Professional for a 61-year-old man who is kind, inquisitive, and enjoys talking! The support will be provided in his dog-friendly home in Myerstown. You will assist someone with a seizure disorder, autism, and an intellectual disability. He is a sweet gentleman who enjoys being involved and outdoors, especially gardening. He is interested in participating in safe social activities in the community and is working towards increased independence.

The ideal candidate will provide cognitive and physical support with daily activities, have a good sense of humor, and enjoy outdoor activities. Respect for his routine and personal space is essential. Caregiving experience is required; CNA certification is preferred. Knowledge and experience with seizures are strongly preferred. Responsibilities include assistance with activities of daily living, meal preparation, and safety.

Individualized training and support will be provided. This role requires an active and engaged staff member. The gentleman has a service dog, so the SSP must be comfortable working alongside a dog.

Available

Shifts:

Monday through Friday, 12 pm - 5 pm, with some flexibility and potential for increased hours for the right candidate.

You MUST have:

• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a standard background check

Pay starts at $28.00 per hour.
