Overview

Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary Function

Indiana University Health is seeking a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Pulmonary Function Lab at Riley Hospital for Children. This position is part-time, with day shift availability, and may include a New Hire Bonus of up to $15,000 for eligible external candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with patients and healthcare teams to evaluate and treat cardiopulmonary disorders across a range of modalities and demographics.
  • Work with nurses, Advanced Respiratory Therapists, and Clinical Specialists to ensure high-quality patient care and customer satisfaction.
  • Operate within unit/department policies and patient care standards, including documentation in the EMR.
Qualifications
  • Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
  • Graduate from a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program (regionally accredited).
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) registry exam must be passed within 6 months of hire date (RRT). The 6-month requirement is void if hire date is more than one year past graduation.
  • Healthcare Provider Certification. Additional life support certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) may be required per unit/department policies.
  • Strong customer service skills and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information and work with EMR.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort with healthcare technology.
